Khadas finally started selling its modular mini PC, which bears the same name as the brand. The main unit of the device, Mind 2S, is the first to arrive, costing $ 1,599 on the official website. The amount is equivalent to $ 9,124 in the current quotation.
It is important to note that Khadas Mind 2S is already a functional mini PC. It comes equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 7 255h and 64GB of LPDDR5X memory and can already be used for various daily tasks. The device differential, however, is the Mind Link interface, a connection that occupies up to eight PCIE 5.0 lanes to connect other khadas units.
The user can use Mind Graphics, for example for an external GPU. There is also Mind Dock, which features extra connections and can be especially useful. This is because the Khadas Mind 2S, by default, comes only with a Thunderbolt 4 connection, a USB 4 and one HDMI 2.1, plus two US 3.2 ports.
Speaking of the possibilities of expansion, LPDDR5X memory obviously indicates that you can’t expand the RAM of the mini PC. SSD can even be changed, but it is also a little limited because the company has opted for a slot M.2 2230 instead of the most popular 2280.
Khadas bets on design to draw attention
Certainly the manufacturer made certain sacrifices in order to draw attention to the design of Khadas Mind 2S – both practical and aesthetic. The proposal of modularity can already be a highlight for some users, besides the fact that the device is especially small and narrow.

Modular components, however, will be attractive depending on the price of other Mind units. In addition, Mind 2S has no more configuration options at the moment. On the official website, Khadas has a menu to choose the device’s Specs, with only one option in each field. This may be indicative that one day we will have more options.
Finally, the Khadas Mind 2S features a small 5.55Wh battery to save its work in case of power outage.
