As already scheduled since August 2023, the digital store of Xbox 360 was officially closed this Monday (29). With this, it will no longer be possible to buy games or DLCs for the console. The measure applies to both access directly through the console, as well as through the official marketplace linkwhich now redirects to a list of Xbox games. In the filter area of the list under “play with”, the Xbox 360 no longer appears.
Games that are part of the category of what is called backwards compatible can still be purchased. The other titles, which only connect to the Xbox 360, can no longer be accessed through their digital versions on Microsoft’s official sales channels. More than 200 games will no longer be available with the closure of the store, such as Batman: The Telltale Series, Duke Nudem 3D and Vigilante 8 Arcade.
