The rumors of the time bring bad news to those who expected to see a more advanced video card in Intel’s Battlemage GPUS generation. Apparently the company actually planned a high end model based on XE2 architecture, but would have given up on this attempt last year.
The information is not official, but come from the interaction between two known Hardware World “Leakagers”, with good history in their rumors about Intel. Jaykihn (@jaykihn0) posted this week about Arrow Lake-S Refresh, and Tomasz Gawroński (@gawroskit) took the cue to ask him if BMG-G31 would be dead.

The BMG-G31 is a supposed GPU Die that appeared in leaks, which would be larger than the BMG-G21 used in ARC B580 and ARC B570. Thus, speculation pointed to the possibility of Intel to use this chip on a Battlemage Pro or some more advanced PC model, such as an Arc B770 or even a B780.
Jaykihn responds categorically: “Died in Q3 last year.” That is, in the third quarter. Gawroński is strange to the statement because we still had leaks about DIE in the fourth quarter, and Jaykihn clarifies that the product finished with the GPU “died” in Q3.

Battlemage no more news?
Intel has not made official statements about their graphic architectures except driver updates. This way it is less and less likely to see something different in Battlemage for the household segment.
It is rumored that we will still have a dedicated XE2 -based video card for the professional segment, a 24GB Battlemage Pro. As in the leakage of this product it has been mentioned that he would use the Die BMG -G21 -the same as the ARC B580 and B570 -there is a possibility that he is not “dead”.

In the same interaction talking about BMG-G31, Jaykihn was also asked about the next generation of Intel, the heavenly graphics. Unfortunately, the leak had no information to share about these GPUs.
