Development of Intel’s future generation of desktop processors appears to be proceeding according to plan. A shipping document mentioning a Nova Lake CPU for testing has appeared circulating on the internet in recent days. The post is over a month old, and is one of the first leaks referring to a unit of these processors.
Intel, like any technology company, is always working not only on the next generations of new products, but also on the next ones, constantly developing so as not to be left behind. Therefore, it is important to stay within the company’s current roadmap, based on statements made by the company in some leaks.
Intel’s next domestic processors are known as the Panther Lake generation, which should mark the debut of the company’s long-awaited 18A process for consumers. CPUs from this line are expected for mobile devices, although the possibility of desktop variants appearing is not ruled out. This line should begin production in the second half of this year.
It is after Panther Lake that Nova Lake will appear, scheduled for 2026. According to rumors, these CPUs will be manufactured using Intel’s 14A process, or the company may end up turning to TSMC with its advanced 2nm process, at the moment it is unknown .
Nova Lake substitui Arrow Lake Refresh?
The perspective of current rumors and speculation about Intel processor lines indicates that the Nova Lake generation will have components for both desktop PCs and notebooks. Thus, these new products would be the successors not only to Panther Lake, but also to the current Arrow Lake.
It is worth remembering that, according to rumors, the Arrow Lake generation would have a renewal that was canceled. Just as Raptor Lake had its “refresh”, Arrow Lake would too, but Intel gave up, according to unofficial information.
