After denying that it would release any specific domestic processor to compete with AMD models at so early, it seems that Intel can change his mind in the New Lake generation. At least that’s what indicates a recent post from one of the internet insiders on the internet.
Last week we had a Chi11eddog post revealing what can be the seven launch models of the likely Core Ultra 400 series, accompanied by your detailed nuclei and TDP count.

Something that has not gained so much visibility immediately, however, is that another “leak”, the famous Harukaze5719, asked if any of them would come with BlLC. The information was not answered by the author of the original post, but by yet another person, Haze, who states that at least two of the Nova Lake will come with BlLC.
The acronym BLLC refers to “Big Last Line Cache”, or, “Great Layer Cache”. It is basically the Intel version for the 3D V-Cache, placing a large CPUS memory capacity. Haze comments that the BLLC would be applied to the 24 and 20 nuclei models of the Nova Lake series.

Comparing the insider’s response to the original post detailing the series, we realize that the processor leakage describes three different models of potential Core Ultra 5. It is the only one that repeats itself.
This would help to explain, then, the variety of models. It would be two with BlLC and one without.
Intel spoke of more cache for the Clearwater Forest
In official terms, Intel only talked about bringing more cache to its Xeon processors, facing servers. In this case, the Clearwater Forest generation, which debuts the 18th process in the segment, should come equipped with BLLC.

It is noteworthy that Intel locates its extra cache modules below the processor’s tiles, acting as interconnection. Thus, if the company really wants to bring technology to Nova Lake, its design will come similar to what AMD has done only now, in the previous Ryzen 9000 generation. The previous Ryzen X3D had more cache over the choplets.
With the New Lake line scheduled only for next year, Intel probably should not confirm anytime soon if it will even use BLLC in some of its Ultra 400 Core.
