Intel may show Arc Battlemage GPUs in December

Intel is expected to launch or tease its new line of Arc graphics cards in December. Rumors about Battlemage have long indicated a release for the end of this year, and now a well-known “leaker” corroborates the unofficial information.

Golden Pig Upgrade is famous for posting hardware rumors and leaks that turn out to be true. In his most recent post on the Chinese social network Weibo, he comments that he is “looking forward to seeing Battlemage (desktop version only) perform brilliantly next month.”

The post was made in Chinese and the translation was done by machine. So we have two different interpretations coming from the folks at VideoCardz and WCCFTech.

For VideoCardz, Golden Pig is just eager to see how the Battlemage GPUs perform, with performance expected to be good. For WCCFTech, the “leaker” is already giving the tip that the performance of the cards would be “brilliant” – or “wonderful” depending on the translation made.

In any case, it would just be a subjective opinion about the card’s performance. The most important thing is that, if the information in the post is correct, Intel will show its Battlemage dedicated GPUs in December, with some testing revealing their performance.

The expectation surrounding Intel’s new generation of dedicated graphics cards is a considerable improvement over the company’s past products. The Battlemage cards reportedly have their chips manufactured by TSMC and the Xe2 architecture has already performed well as integrated graphics in Lunar Lake processors.
