Intel launched this week three new models of input processors based on the Core Ultra 5 235. These CPUS are part of the Arrow Lake series and bring accessible options for both desktop PCs and notebooks and mini PCs.
The new components are the Intel Core Ultra 5 235a and the Core Ultra 5 235ta for Desktop PCs and the Core Ultra 235ua as a mobile option. Core Ultra 5 235A and 235TA are actually quite similar.
The two processors have 14 cores, in the same setting of 6 for performance and 8 for efficiency, with a total of 14 threads. Both models also offer Clock Turbo up to 5GHz. The difference between them is in more basic operations.
Core Ultra 5 235A operates with 4.4GHz base clock, keeping a 65W TDP for this. The Core Ultra 5 235ta is geared towards energy saving, operating by 3.4GHz in the base clock, which allows you to reduce your TDP to just 35W.
Intel Core Ultra 5 235ua follows another way
Despite similar names, the Core Ultra 5 235UA is not just a version of the processor with redesign for notebooks. It follows a completely different construction.
For starters, there are 12 nuclei instead of 14. Only 2 are focused on performance and remain 8 for efficiency, with two of the very low consumption LP type. In this configuration, it uses a 15W TDP, which can reach up to 57W for a CPU clock turbo.
The differences go to the processor lithography. The 235a and 235TA models are manufactured in the N3B process of 3NM TSMC, while the Ultra 5 235UA is done by Intel itself, but also in 3NM.
Price and availability of new Arrow Lake
Intel’s new entry processors are expected for this quarter of 2025. Desktop models are already listed on the company’s official website, for the suggested price of $ 269. This gives about $ 1,505 about the current price.

Already the 235U for notebooks has not yet an MSRP because it will not be sold in a separate way. It remains to wait for the first devices equipped with the product to see its price range.
