Intel Detalha Frisco Lake, 2nd generation of its Panther Lake -based automotive chips

Intel presented news about its next generation of automotive chips at Auto Shanghai 2025. The company went to the event to talk about its Frisco Lake processors, the second generation of its SDV types. There were not many details about the new line, as well as promises of improvement, but more information is already circulating on the Internet.

The Chips Frisco Lake chips will bring GPUS XE3 architecture, also known as heavenly. Intel informs that processors will work using TDP between 20 and 65W, but not yet talk about nuclei settings, or how many skus we will see. Instead, the company claims:

• Up to 10 times more performance for general and multimodal
• Up to 3 times more graphic performance for more complex human interface experience (HMI)
• 12 Camera input clues and image processing

The presence of the XE3 -based integrated GPU, which is expected to make its debut in Panther Lake processors before the end of this year, with mass production in 2026. Intel does not confirm, but the famous insider Harukaze5719 was able to find out that Frisco Lake is based on Panther Lake’s IP through Kernel patches. And that’s not all he found.

Intel talks about Frisco Lake, internet already finds the grizzly lake

While Intel prepares for the debut of the 2nd generation of its automotive processors, Frisco Lake, the internet has already found evidence of the 3rd, allegedly called Grizzly Lake.

Harukaze5719 shared information from 3elife, which claims to have seen a company’s roadmap detailing what comes after Frisco. The Grizzly Lake would be based on the Nova Lake IP, bringing to the CTS Cars of up to 32 nuclei, with unspecified GPU XE up to 7tflops performance.
