Two Arrow Lake processors have appeared in benchmark results. The Intel Core Ultra 7 265KF and Core Ultra 5 245K have had their Geekbench scores released, while running on boards with the Z890 chipset. Results for the Ultra 7 models, however, are not impressive.
The information comes from the Benchleaks account on Twitter. According to the post, the Core Ultra 7 265KF ran on Geekbench 6 to obtain a score of 3,219 in single core and 19,433 in multi.
Comparing the numbers with an Intel Core i9-14900K, the performance can be considered satisfactory, according to Tom’s Hardware. The Core i9 scores 3,085 and 20,763 in single and multi-core in the same test, respectively. Thus, the Ultra 7 265KF is 4% better in single and slightly worse in multi. It is in comparison with its direct predecessor, the Core i7-14700KF, that the new Arrow Lake processor does not do so well.
The Core i7-14700KF scores 3,004 points in single and 19,583 in multi in Geekbench 6. That puts the Intel Core Ultra 7 265KF 7% better in single and virtually tied in multi, but still a bit below.
Moving on to the Intel Core Ultra 5 245K, unfortunately we don’t have those comparisons. For some reason the processor was tested on Geekbench 5.4.5, a much older version of the benchmark. The mid-range Arrow Lake CPU scored 2,248 in single core and 18,354 in multi core.
Intel Arrow Lake is not official yet
It’s important to remember that Intel has yet to officially launch its Arrow Lake generation of desktop processors. Therefore, all performance testing information comes from leaks that should be taken with a grain of salt.
More about Arrow Lake:
Although these are real results from Core Ultra processors, they may be engineering samples. In these cases, it is normal for changes to occur in the processor clock until the final version actually hits the shelves.
Additionally, there is also the issue of drivers, which often have very positive impacts on hardware performance with a simple update.
