A benchmark of the Intel Core Ultra 9 285 “Arrow Lake” CPU (non-K version) has been leaked, confirming that the manufacturer is working on a 65W version of its processor and how it is positioned in terms of performance in relation to the others.
Through Geekbench 6 it is seen that the hardware was tested on an ASUS PRIME Z890-P motherboard and had some of its specifications revealed. It will maintain the same configuration as the K version with 24 cores – with 8 Lion Cove performance cores and 16 Skymont efficiency cores, as well as 24 threads.
The Intel Core Ultra 9 285 CPU will have 36MB of L3 cache and a base clock of 2.5 GHz – reaching up to 5.6 GHz in boost clock. The tests were also carried out with 8GB DDR5-5600 memory and apparently the system was only used for the purpose of booting.
In single-core tests, it achieved 3,081 points – which is a decent result for the line. However, the score of 14,150 in multi-core tests is below what was established even by “non-K” Core i9-14900 CPUs – which generally had results between 17 and 18 thousand points.

Enhancements for Intel Core Ultra Series 2 CPUs
It is important to note that this October we will see Intel Core Ultra Series 2 “Arrow Lake” CPUs from the “K” line on the market – with five models available to the general public. However, it has also been confirmed that they are working on 65W and 35W versions of their processors – which should arrive in early 2025.
In other words, the results seen from the Intel Core Ultra 9 285 CPU benchmark possibly come from a sample – which may have changes until its launch next year.
It is expected to hit the market in the first quarter of 2025, arriving alongside the mainstream “800” motherboards in the line – such as the B860 and H810 versions.
