Intel Core 5 120F are leaked to Socket LGA1700 – Check it out!

The leakage of an Intel promotional slide reveals many details of one of its future processors, Core 5 120F. It is one of the components of the new Bartlett Lake-S series, which seems to position itself as an economic alternative for those who like to play.

According to Slide information, Intel Core 5 120F has six nuclei and 18MB of L3 cache. The base clock is 2.5GHz, but Boost reaches up to 4.5GHz. In addition, the processor is compatible with up to 192GB of DDR5-4800 memory. TDP appears in 65W.

The great differential of Core 5 120F, and the Bartlett Lake-S line, is that these are processors without nuclei of type E, for efficiency. It uses only P Performance nuclei, based on Cove Raptor. Thus, they should deliver more performance.

As it appears in the slide, Intel promises “reliable” performance to run Triple A games at 1080p. That is, the new line of processors aims at those who want to play, but need to save money.

Intel Core 5 120F fits the LGA1700 socket?

Slide is not confirmed, but the Bartlett Lake-S line is expected to be compatible with the Socket LGA1700, marking the fourth generation of processors that enjoy the same slot.

It would be the first time Intel has done something like this, since the company is famous for not offering much longevity in its sockets. However, the decision would make sense of a series of processors seeking cost x benefit.

Core 5 120F should be the most affordable option in the new series, or one of them. A Bartlett Lake-S with 12 P Centers P for the top of the line is also expected. This model would have 36MB of L3 cache and 24 threads, being able to make even Core i9-14900ks to play games.
