Gunnir, one of Intel’s main partners in the distribution of its dedicated graphics cards, released a teaser promising the launch of a new product on December 4th. The advertisement seems to corroborate the rumors that the Battlemage series of GPUs makes its official debut here the day before, December 3rd.
The confusion in dates is due to the fact that Gunnir is a Chinese manufacturer. Taking the time zone into account, a global debut for Battlemage cards means that when the 3rd arrives in the US, it will be the 4th in China.
Intel’s partner does not go so far as to call the GPUs by name, just emphasizing that a new product arrives on the date. The post with the teaser was made on the Chinese social network Weibo, and the screenshot above shows its machine-translated version.
Even if Gunnir doesn’t mention Battlemage by name, it wouldn’t make sense for the company to promise a new release when the products are about to arrive and not be one of them. Even more so as this is one of the most important AIBs for Intel’s dedicated graphics cards, alongside Sparkle and ASRock.
Gunnir’s new board should be a Battlemage B580 or B570
The leak about the debut date of Intel’s new GPUs indicates that the first Battlemage models will be mid-range. That is, the Arc B580 and Arc B570. So, Gunnir’s new teaser plate should be one of them.
We should only have the announcement of these plates on the date, with their arrival on shelves ten days later, on December 13th. The review embargo, however, falls the day before, on December 12th. At least that’s what the unofficial information obtained by VideoCardz says.
