Intel Arrow Lake CPUs will support DDR5 memory at up to 10,000 MT/s [RUMOR]

A new leak about Intel “Arrow Lake” CPUs has emerged on Chinese platform Weibo, showing that the Core Ultra 200 desktop processors may support DDR5 memory with speeds between 8,000 and 10,000 MT/s.

For comparison, the current Raptor Lake Refresh models reach up to 8,200 MT/s with the best memory kits. AMD Ryzen 9000 processors, recently launched on the market in recent months, usually reach 6,400 MT/s and can reach up to 8,000 MT/s.

However, it is important to note that it has not been confirmed whether Intel Arrow Lake CPUs will support memories with speeds of up to 10,000 MT/s at launch or whether the feature will be implemented later.

Another detail is that the information has not been officially released by the manufacturer, which should present the specifications and details about its new hardware during the month of October. A presentation is scheduled for October 10th, where they should reveal everything about the processors and also about the Z890 motherboards.

Even though memory support for Intel Arrow Lake CPUs has not yet been confirmed, they are probably correct if we recall the manufacturers’ recent announcements in this segment.

While we can see the latest DIMM memories reaching even higher MT/s speeds on emerging platforms, we also have CUDIMM technology – introduced to the market in early 2024. It incorporates a clock driver that regenerates the clock signal, improving stability and enabling higher frequencies.

Asgard, for example, recently unveiled its CUDIMM module called Thor – which can reach an impressive 9,600 MT/s. Additionally, ASRock is also working with these speeds in mind, with a possible Z890 Taichi motherboard leaked with support for up to 9,200 MT/s in certain configurations.
