Intel has just reached a major milestone with its dedicated graphics cards for desktop PCs. Intel Arc GPUs finally managed to reach 1% market share in the latest survey by Jon Peddie Research (JPR), for the third quarter of 2025. This is the first time that the company has reached a full digit since it began venturing into the segment.
JPR’s results show a slight drop in NVIDIA’s market share for Q3 2025. The company continues to dominate the segment with 92% of GPUs shipped, but it is a reduction in relation to the 94% it had achieved in the second quarter.
This small shrinkage allowed AMD to increase its market share by 0.8%, reaching 7%. Intel Arc GPUs, meanwhile, went up 0.6% to finally surpass the 1% barrier, an increase even proportionally smaller than that achieved by AMD.
Remembering that Intel Arc started in the Alchemist generation and we are still in the Battlemage series, the cards are relatively recent, so the numbers can be considered positive for the company.
Intel Arc grows in unstable dedicated graphics card market
JPR data is positive for Q3 2025 in the short term, but not so much when we look at the broader picture of the GPU market.
According to the company, the AIB GPU segment reached a value of US$8.8 billion in the period, with product shipments reaching a total of US$12 million in revenue – an increase of 2.8% compared to the previous quarter. However, the 10-year average for this same time is an increase of 11.4%.

The numbers show recovery from last year, with AIB board shipments jumping 47.5% compared to Q3 2024. JPR warns that “with all market influences, we recommend cautious optimism until the tariff wars calm down and a quarter or two pass, which should give the market some stability.”
