The drivers also come with support for Intel XeSS 2, XeSS Frame Generation, and Xe Low Latency (or XeLL). The features are on par with NVIDIA’s DLSS and AMD’s FSR.

Intel XeSS Frame Generation (XeSS FG) enables users to achieve higher frame rates and smoother gameplay with new AI-based frame interpolation technology

While Intel Xe Low Latency (XeLL) allows users to have an ultra-responsive gaming experience by reducing the delay between their actions and the on-screen response for a more immersive experience.

Known issues

Some problems are already known and Intel is working to offer a definitive solution. Until then, some users will have to deal with workarounds.

  • The Crew Motorfest (VK) may experience flicker corruption in certain scenes.
  • Homeworld3 (DX12) may experience application crashes during game launch.
  • Selaco (VK) may experience app crashes during game launch.
  • Elden Ring (DX12) may experience stuttering during gameplay in certain scenes.
  • F1 24 (DX12) with XeSS FG may experience corruption and application crashes.
    • The “Alt + Enter” Shortcut may change the display mode to exclusive full screen, which is not supported in XeSS 2 and cause the game to fail.
    • The application may crash when dynamically changing XeSS FG settings during gameplay. For now, the solution is to toggle the XeSS FG settings in the game menu before starting a race.
  • F1 24 (DX12) may experience stuttering during gameplay with ray tracing quality set to high.
  • MLPerf may experience intermittent errors when running on multi-GPU system configurations. In this case, it is recommended to disable the integrated GPU as a workaround.
  • Topaz Labs Photo AI may introduce corruption with certain image enhancement operations.
  • Magix Vegas Pro may introduce corruptions when using the style transfer feature.
  • Dassault Systèmes CATIA may experience application crashes when using the HQAO option.
  • Certain capture cards may exhibit visual artifacts in some scenarios.
  • Adobe Lightroom Classic may perform less than expected. For now, the solution is to set recommended preferences in the app. In Edit, Preferences, Performance options, choose the graphics processor as “Custom” and select “Use GPU for Display”, “Use GPU for Image Processing” and “Use GPU for Export”.

Intel Arc A Series:

Intel Core Ultra Series 1 with integrated Intel Arc GPUs:

  • SPECworkstation3.1 may experience system instability when running certain workloads.
  • PugetBench for Davinci Resolve Studio V19 may display intermittent errors with the benchmark preset set to Extended.
  • Davinci Resolve Studio v19.0 may experience errors when rendering OpenVino test scenarios.
