Created by Intel to allow greater integration between its CPUs and GPUS, Deep Link technology was officially discontinued by it. After being mentioned by the company in its latest promotional materials, the solution was officially “dead” through a Github publication.
On the page dedicated to the project, a corporation representative stated that Deep Link “is no longer kept actively and will not receive future updates.” The message also explains that this means that “There will be no changes to resources, regardless of its current state of functionality”.
At the same time, Intel has said it will continue to support consumers and to answer questions from those affected by the decision. The company’s statement was made in response to a consumer who was having trouble enabling technology when using a CPU Core Ultra 200 paired with a Battlemage GPU using the OBS software.
End of Deep Link is a reflection of recent changes in Intel
When it was announced, Intel Deep Link promised to be one of the great differentials offered by the company for those who acquired their hardware. The main advantage of the feature is a technology known as Dynamic Power Share, which calculates better as energy should be dedicated to every part of the PC.

In tasks that demanded more from the use of the CPU, for example, the solution is capable of giving priority to the component – and the same happened when the GPU was more required. The promise is that this would ensure consumers a better general performance without the system used to be at risk of overheating.
Deep Link also offered better performance during video coding and tasks involving artificial intelligence, among other areas. The end of technology support seems to be one of the recent reflexes of Intel’s leadership change. Under the command of Lip Bu-Tan, the company aims to make thousands of layoffs and discontinue products that no longer consider priority for its future growth.
