HP finally began pre-sale of its new mini PC that first presented at CES 2025. The compact computer draws attention because it offers different AMD Strix Halo processor options, also known as Ryzen Ai Max 300.
There are few mini PCs using AMD’s advanced integrated graphics processors, and their prohibitive values are also well known. The HP differential is in the number of product variants, ranging from Ryzen Ai Max Pro 380 to the top of Ryzen Ai Max+ Pro 395 line.
As the names indicate, another differential is that HP has adopted the “Pro” versions of APUs, as the company positions its new mini PC as a workstation.
The four variants appear in pre-sale in the B&H store, but the availability of each Strix Halo option also depends on memory settings and SSD. The AI Max Pro 380 Ryzen model comes out for $ 1,880.74 ($ 10,457) and is available only with 64GB of RAM and 1TB processor.
Options with Ryzen Ai Max Pro 385 and Max Pro 390 start at US $ 2,184.46 (R $ 12,145) and US $ 2,351.72 (R $ 13,075), respectively, but have more memory options as well.
The HP Z2 Mini G1A with Ryzen Ai Max+ Pro 395 comes with only 64GB of RAM and 1TB of SSD or more advanced settings, starting at $ 2,887.95 ($ 16,057).
HP sells new mini pc Strix halo more expensive on your site
It’s curious, but HP offers only one of the Z2 Mini G1A versions on its official website, and charges it more for it. Only the model with Ryzen Ai Max Pro 380 appears listed on the site until the moment we wrote this post. It comes with 32GB of RAM and only 512GB of storage, for $ 1,999 ($ 11,114) on the HP website.

The bad news for those interested is that the B&H website does not send to Brazil. Then you will need to wait for the models to appear in more stores. It is possible that more options will be available from August 11, the date HP predicts to start sending its new mini PCs with Strix Halo.
