How to Hide Your Locked Conversations on WhatsApp

Step by Step to Hide Locked Conversations on WhatsApp

1. Access Locked Conversations

First, open WhatsApp and navigate to the Conversations. To access locked conversations, drag the chat list down until the shortcut appears. Locked Conversations be revealed. Click this shortcut and then authenticate using the configured password or biometrics.

2. Enter Settings

Once inside Locked Conversations, you will need to access WhatsApp settings. If you are using an iPhone, click Settings. On Android, click the three-dot icon located in the upper right corner and then click Settings.

3. Activate the “Hide Locked Conversations” Option

In the Locked Conversations settings, you will see the option Hide Locked Conversations. Activate this option to ensure that your conversations are not visible in the main WhatsApp list.

4. Create a Secret Code

After activating the option to hide conversations, you will need to create a secret code. Click Create Secret Code and enter a code of your choice. Make sure you choose a code that is easy to remember but not too obvious, like “123456”. Then tap move forward and re-enter the code to confirm.

5. How to Access Hidden Conversations

With the secret code created, your locked conversations will be automatically hidden from the main WhatsApp screen. To access them again, tap the app’s search bar in the tab Conversations and enter the security code you configured. The shortcut to hidden conversations will appear at the top of the search results.

It is worth remembering that, at the moment, locked and hidden conversations are not available for all connected devices. This means that, if you use WhatsApp on multiple devices, the option to keep conversations hidden may not be activated on all of them. This function may be included in future updates, but there is no expected date for it yet.
