HDMI Licensing Administrator (HDMI LA) announced that its booth at CES 2026 will highlight HDMI gaming technologies with a series of demonstrations designed to engage gaming professionals and enthusiasts alike.
The booth will showcase the performance benefits of three types of HDMI cables in interactive gaming demos:
- Ultra96 HDMI cable, featured in the newly released HDMI 2.2 specification, will be on display with early prototypes
- Ultra High Speed ​​HDMI Cable
- Premium High Speed ​​HDMI Cable
The demos aim to highlight how proper HDMI connectivity delivers exceptional performance for next-generation gaming experiences.

Among the demonstrations will be a visual experience of a 500Hz gaming monitor, with the power of an Xbox Series X and a high-performance PC optimized for gaming. It should provide a look with extremely smooth movements and ultra-fast responses.
Another demonstration will feature portable consoles, such as the Nintendo Switch 2 and the Atari Gamestation Go. She will show you how they connect to HDTVs using HDMI technology for big-screen gaming.
This demo is designed for those looking for group entertainment and immersive audio through eARC-compatible soundbars or multi-speaker sound systems.
Finally, it will also be presented the latest retro gaming systems connect via HDMI cables for a nostalgic experience with UltraHD video and audio on big screens.
Additional advanced enhancements will also be introduced, such as:
- Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) for smoother, stutter-free images
- Automatic Low Latency Mode (ALLM) which allows fluid, delay-free and uninterrupted interaction
- Fast Frame Transport (QFT) for reduced latency and more immediate feedback to the player

HDMI Licensing Administrator (HDMI LA) is the agent appointed by the HDMI Forum to license version 2.2 of the HDMI specification, being the agent appointed by the founders of HDMI to license previous HDMI specifications.
