The best selling video cards

So, what did the Brazilian bought in these first six months? First is that the new generation is still coming. Most of the sales volume are still from the previous generation. But the current generation plates already represent a third of sales recorded through our economy tools.

In the new generation, Nvidia has a good leadership. It makes sense, after all the company has a much more complete line-up than AMD, with releases since the beginning of the year, while the Radeon came later.

But if we move in the chart to see the sales of the plates of the past generation, the staff is divided half to half between Radeons and Geforces. This makes total sales, not considering video card generation, bring an advantage to Nvidia, but a considerable participation of Radeon.

And we already have the guys betting on Intel Arc. They are still discreet numbers, but it has two registered ARC B580.

Now looking at which plates sold itself, we have the RTX 4060, followed by the Radeon Baratinhas combo, the 7600 and 6600 RX. Interestingly, the RX 7600 has taken the front and already sells more than 6600.

In fourth place comes the first sign of the new generation, and hitting Amazon data in the United States, here was also the RTX 5070. This card has been one of the strongest proposals between Nvidia cost and performance in this generation, no doubt
Now a sign that is selling is also the RTX 5070 Ti. This is not the first time that the 7 7th series stands out in our sales reports.

The 4070 Ti Super was the first highest performance plate among the most purchased products of 2024, and it seems that its successor has been maintaining the pace of sales.
But different from RTX 4070 Ti and Ti Super, I have not found RTX 5070 Ti such an interesting product. In addition to appearing for a much higher cost than her predecessor, she has a much stronger competition.

Just see our chart of how many reais comes each fps that the board delivers performance, and the RX 9070 XT is doing much better than it in this criterion. Speaking at 9070 XT, this board is already beginning to appear well on the chart and is not far behind RTX 5070 IT, but the Radeon that is standing out is the RX 9060 XT. It was launched at a time near RTX 5060, and sells double among our users than rival Geforce.

And talking about her, I think here is what I’m most curious to know: how the crowd is investing in Vram.

End of 8GB?

In gringa, as we mentioned, it has come out a lot more plates of 16GB than 8GB, but and here in Brazil, where the crowd is tighter money, with less purchasing power? Do we accept a little less memory to save crags?

This is good for me to remember where this data comes from. It’s from the crowd using our shopping tools, ie Adrena audience, which may have been influenced by our coverage. Coverage that has been speaking repeatedly about the limitations of low memory in modern video cards. But of course agreeing in theory is one thing. Agreeing with the wallet, then it is really agreeing.

Let’s start seeing what the buyers of the RX 9060 XT chose and, of the 18 plates bought with this graphic chip, 17 were in the 16GB version. It was an overwhelming choice in favor of spending more, for more memories.

If we add the RTX 5060 Ti in the comparison, a sign with a much smaller volume of sales, we still see a very favorable proportion. Of the four purchased, three are the 16GB version, and one is the version that potential regret in the short and medium term because it caught vara vara insufficient for the performance that the 5060 IT chip has to offer.

This is quite a generational change, just put the RTX 4060 TI purchased in the same period. There were 33 plates, with 32 in the 8GB version, against only one being 16GB.

But it’s not just awareness around the limitations of having only 8GB of Vram in modern games. The price difference between versions has reduced. If we put a chart with some plates that have different versions of Vram, considering its average price in the last 30 days, we have this situation:

Note that with RTX 4060 IT, we are talking about more than a thousand reais of investment to go from 8 to 16GB of memory, while R $ 440 on RX 9060 XT, and $ 600 on RTX 5060 Ti. It is still a considerable but lower value.

The distribution of Vram is changing too. If we look at all the plates sold, more than half are 8GB or less. Something as expected, we have already said that the most popular plates are the RTX 4060 and RX 7600, two 8GB plates. But if we see the distribution of plates purchased from the new generation, it is having a much larger accumulation of models with 16GB, or at least 12GB.

The new generation has more sales time with high-end cards, with input boards like RTX 5060 and RX 9060 XT coming for a few weeks ago, but even when we look at the sales of these plates, we see how staff have opted for 16GB RTX 5060 TI and RX 9060 XT in the 16GB version as well, or avoid the 8GB 9060 XT or buy RTX 5060.

Video card purchases in Brazil

This was a turnover for the data we were able to raise. Some standards that are happening abroad are repeating themselves here, as the crowd preferring the 16GB, or the strong sales of RTX 5070.

But here is Brazil, and we have the proper reality of our Tupiniquin lands, and the exchange of generations is slower. It is still selling more plates from the previous generation, and this should stay for a while.

The RTX 4060 may start to disappear more with the arrival of RTX 5050, plaque we have not yet tested and we will see if it will not become the new option for a more affordable plate, while AMD maintains the strategy of using the previous generation final 600 card as an entry product and, as here in Brazil the crowd has a smaller lace, turns out to be one of the sales focuses.
