GTBox has announced a new dock for external GPUs this week that stands out for the 800W source that comes equipped in the product. The type dock market has been popular and, while many companies offer GPUS along with its product to stand out, GTBox has chosen to invest in the source.
According to the manufacturer, G-Dock supports up to three 8-pin connectors for the video card, while the source is sufficient to still hold 150W of “security buffer” in its power capacity. GTBox states that the dock can handle plates up to 525W of TGP.
G-Dock has a very minimalist design, bringing only the PCIE connection, USB 4 and Occulink ports, the power connection and a fit where GPU’s I/O coverage adjusts to be fixed to the dock.
The connection part is very interesting too. The product offers its maximum performance by Occulink (64gt/s), as expected. However, for users who choose a GPU that can be attended by USB 4 (40gbps), you can use the dock with one cable, offering both energy and the data for the notebook.

The small dock measures only 22.5 x 11 x 6cm, to help with its portability. Being a product focused on use with notebooks and/or mini PCs, the size turns out to be an important aspect of its attractions.

The price, however, is not so compact. G-Dock already appears on the GTbox official website for the suggested price of $ 270 ($ 1,529). The moment we make this post, however, the product is with release discount, coming out for $ 240 ($ 1,359).
Remember that the dock does not follow a GPU already installed, so it still requires this extra investment for those who do not have a sign left at home.
