In AMD’s current chipset nomenclature introduced with Ryzen, the mid-range segment uses the same letter (B) as Intel and in this generation, both are at number 800. Therefore, Gigabyte, for example, has 45 B800 motherboards to launch, but most are aimed at Intel.
Motherboards with AMD B850 chipset are based on socket AM5 and support Ryzen 7000, 8000 and 9000 processors. Motherboards with Intel B860 chipset are based on socket LGA-1851 and support Intel Core Ultra 200 processors, i.e. the new Arrow Lake-S models.
The information comes from the EEC (via harukaze5719) and it shows us that there are 31 motherboards with the Intel chipset and the other 14 are for AMD processors. These are mid-range chipsets and, by the nomenclature, they are from the AORUS Elite, Eagle, Gaming X series, up to the most basic ones like DS3H, among others.
