Gigabyte announced during CES 2025 the launch of the monitor AORUS FO27Q5P QD-OLEDwhich stands out for having a refresh rate of 500 Hz and support for DisplayPort 2.1a, positioning itself as one of the most advanced options for competitive gamers.
The model uses QD-OLED technology, known for its ability to reproduce vivid colors and deep contrast. What promises to be the difference between AORUS FO27Q5P is the combination of this technology with a high refresh rate, providing greater fluidity and clarity in fast scenes, essential characteristics for FPS games and titles focused on eSports.
With a bandwidth of 80 Gbps offered by DisplayPort 2.1 UHBR20, the monitor promises to be optimized for the latest generation graphics cards, guaranteeing support for games at very high frame rates without loss of quality.
Gigabyte highlights that the monitor is prepared to meet the requirements of the ClearMR 21000 standard, an advance in relation to current motion clarity indices.
Additionally, the FO27Q5P is VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certified, which allows for greater accuracy in shadows and deep blacks. The model also includes technologies such as OLED Care, an AI-based functionality to prevent burn-in and extend the panel’s useful life.
Gaming functions on the AORUS FO27Q5P QD-OLED
The monitor brings improvements to calls “Tactical Features” from Gigabyte, with Night Vision covering the entire screen to highlight dark areas, while Black Equalizer 2.0 automatically adjusts the brightness of specific zones.
The new thing is the Tactical Switch 2.0which allows you to switch between resolutions and screen formats, such as the 4:3 aspect ratio, optimizing viewing according to the type of game.
Other options presented
Next to the FO27Q5P, the Gigabyte revealed the MO27U2a 27-inch monitor with 4K resolution and 240 Hz refresh rate.
This model is aimed at gamers looking for a hybrid experience, combining high performance in games and features for creative tasks, with color accuracy guaranteed by Pantone Validated certification.
