Gigabyte presented its new Intel Z890 motherboards, ready to work together with Arrow Lake CPUs (Core Ultra 200). In her announcement, she showed the different models that will be part of her line and highlighted the features they will bring to the public.
One of their main highlights is the use of D5 Bionic Corsa technology, which brings a huge increase in memory performance for DDR5 XMP 9500 and above. It uses artificial intelligence to overclock DDR5 memories – working software, hardware and firmware to achieve results that exceed expectations.
According to Gigabyte, the D5 Bionic Corsa on Intel Z890 motherboards has four fronts: AORUS AI SNATCH, AI SNATCH Engine, AI-Driven PCB Design and HyperTune BIOS.
- AI SNATCH Engine – is the artificial intelligence model that works at the heart of the AORUS AI SNATCH software;
- AORUS AI SNATCH – Gigabyte’s self-overclocking software, enabling users to activate the maximum performance of Intel Z890 motherboards with one click;
- AI-Driven PCB – uses AI algorithms to optimize lanes, routing and stacking, valuing precision and stability;
- Hypertune BIOS – uses AI to optimize MRC and adapt signals for maximum efficiency, boost memory clock and increase overall performance
The ultimate motherboards
Gigabyte also presented its main line of Intel Z890 motherboards, the AI ​​TOP – which will feature the Z890 AORUS XTREME AI TOP, Z890 AORUS MASTER AI TOP and the Z890 AI TOP – which combine all features with artificial intelligence.
All of them will support two video cards, two 10GbE LAN ports and two Thunderbolt 5 ports.

Gigabyte also points out that it has made some changes to Intel Z890 motherboards for a more simplified assembly for users and professionals.
The WIFI EZ-Plug now combines the Wi-Fi connection antenna into a single adapter, eliminating the need to install it separately. The EZ-Debug Zone centralizes LED diagnostics, control buttons for troubleshooting and includes an LED DRAM installation indicator – which lights up when a module is installed in a non-recommended slot.
Additionally, the Sensor Panel Link features an onboard video port to simplify panel configuration without cluttering your cable management. The PCIe EZ-Latch Plus allows screwless installation of PCIe graphics cards, just as the M.2 EZ-Latch CLick and M.2 EZ-Latch Plus do for M.2 SSDs and heatsinks.

All Intel Z890 motherboards produced by Gigabyte will also have integration with PCIe 5.0 storage and Thunderbolt 4 ports. The Wi-Fi 7 antenna guarantees a significant increase in bandwidth – allowing users even higher transfer speeds.
In the GCC software, the public will also have the WIFI Compass feature, which shows the real-time signal between the antenna and its WIFI router – allowing users to position it in the best way to keep its performance always at maximum.
The USB4 ports are compatible with Thunderbolt 4, bringing speeds that can reach up to 40 Gb/s. They also support DisplayPort 1.4a – allowing you to connect up to five devices per port, including 4K/8K displays.
Temperature control and BIOS
The Intel Z890 motherboards being launched by Gigabyte also feature DDR Wind Blade and a ventilated back panel in conjunction with M.2 and VRM thermal management – ​​creating a synergy in the heat dissipation system, ensuring that the components keep cool even under intense workloads.
The manufacturer also introduces the VRM Thermal Balance mechanism to deal with new Intel processors, which have the primary power connection at their top and can lead to concentrated heat in a more confined space. It features a heatpipe design that balances the temperature on both sides of the VRM and optimizes the PWM firmware.
According to Gigabyte, Intel Z890 motherboards also feature a VRM solution for a total of 21 phases with 110 A SPS for greater stability and power distribution and an eight-layer PCB. They also reveal that their BIOS has the NPU Overdrive feature – increasing AI performance by 23%.
They also introduced AI PerfDrive, a BIOS feature that intelligently assesses temperature and recommends the use of profiles that optimize performance. You will also have customization options with Multi-theme Design and AIO Fan Control – ideal for those who don’t use Windows.
They also entered into an exclusive partnership with HWiNFO, with monitoring of the CPU vCore phases and its efficiency through the Power Monitor and the AORUS/HWiNFO OSD system that shows general information overlaid on your games or applications in text or graphics – without the need for additional software.
All models and features will arrive at the end of October, the suggested price of each motherboard has not yet been announced.
