Gigabyte introduced this week its new mini PC focused on everyday use and productivity, the GB-BRU5-225h. As the name already implies, the small computer is driven by an Intel Core Ultra 5 225h, which features Integrated ARC 130T graphics, based on XE nuclei.
The Core Ultra 5 225h that feeds the new Gigabyte Mini PC has 14 cores, organized in the form of four Lion Cove for High Performance, eight high efficiency skymont and two more LPE (low power consumption). There is also an input NPU with up to 13 tops. There are eight XE nuclei in integrated graphics to complete the processor settings.
The small GB-BRU5-225h in BRIX format measures only 12.6 x 3.4 x 11.9cm, which does not give space for a GPU. On the other hand, its small square format is compatible with VESA, so it can be hung directly behind the monitor.
For the memory part, the Gigabyte mini PC supports up to 96GB of RAM, in two DDR5 slots with up to 6,400mHz of speed. The plate offers two M.2 m.2280 slots for SSD and an M.2 2230 for wireless component.

The relatively recent popularization of the mini PCs has been accompanied by products with more robust connections options in relation to what was seen in the past. And Gigabyte’s new small computer is not left behind in this regard.
On the front we have two USB-A 3.2 Gen2 ports and a USB-C of the same generation, as well as the traditional analog connection to headphones, popularly known as P2.
Behind the Mini PC appears two HDMI 2.1 ports, a Thunderbolt 4 and another USB-C 3.2 with PowerDelivery. There is also a port for RJ45 Ethernet.
Unfortunately, Gigabyte has not yet reported a specific release date for its new BRIX mini PC, nor the official price of the device.
