GIGABYTE presented its new high-end AM5 motherboard, the X870E AORUS XTREME X3D AI TOP. The board is built specifically for AMD Ryzen X3D processors and optimized for DDR5 memory.
She supports the chips from the Ryzen 9000, 8000 and 7000 series and comes with a 24+2+2 phase VRM rated at 110A. It is designed to power CPUs like the Ryzen 9 9950X3D under sustained load and is expected to support the upcoming X3D update.
The main highlight is the X3D Turbo Mode 2.0, an AI-based optimization system that adjusts the frequency, power consumption and thermal behavior of each chip. GIGABYTE claims up to 25% better gaming performance and up to 14% better multitasking compared to default settings.
And there’s a one-click profile specifically targeted at Ryzen X3D processors.

The AI TOP seal indicates that this is GIGABYTE’s most complete X870E model. It is classified for DDR5 speeds over 9000 MT/s, with four DIMM slots and AMD EXPO support.
GIGABYTE combines this with the D5 Bionic Corsa automatic overclocking feature and active DIMM cooling called DDR Wind Blade XTREME, which covers the entire board.
The CPU Thermal Matrix dissipates heat from the VRM and memory zones, while large finned heatsinks, two direct contact heatpipes, and multiple M.2 Thermal Guard arrays with an integrated fan target for PCIe Gen5 SSDs ensure cooling.
The company’s tests indicate Double-digit temperature drops for VRM, DDR, and M.2 slots under load compared to previous designs.
Connectivity includes five M.2 slots with PCIe Gen5 support, one PCIe 5.0 x16 slot with “UD Slot It also comes with a 65W front USB port for fast charging.
There’s also an emphasis on ease of assembly, with the board coming with GIGABYTE’s complete EZ DIY kit. It includes the M.2 EZ Match magnetic mount, screwless M.2 EZ Latch and EZ Latch Click heatsinks, PCIe EZ Latch Plus Duo for quick GPU removal, WiFi EZ Plug, and an expanded EZ Debug Zone.
And the DriverBIOS allows you to connect a new system to the internet via Wi-Fi without the need to install drivers separately.
The most striking element is the 5-inch Edge View LCD panel located on the edge of the motherboard. The screen displays system statistics from built-in sensors, custom animations, or logos. Furthermore, it is physically larger than the screen on the first iPhone.

Availability
At the time of publication of the article, checking the product code did not reveal any retailer listing for this card. However, the Gigabyte website indicates that it will be available in Brazil at some point, as the purchase option allows you to reach stores like Kabum and Pichau.
In terms of price, the Gigabyte X870E Aorus Xtreme AI Top (without X3D) is R$8,399.99 at Pichau. And this already signals that the new version will be very expensive and will probably become one of Gigabyte’s most expensive on the market.
Through Pichau, the most expensive is a Gigabyte W790 AI TOP, with LGA4677 socket, which cost R$ 9,309.99.
