Now it’s official: Gigabyte Confirms Intel Arrow Lake Refresh-Ready Z890 Motherboards, Demonstrates 256GB CQDIMM Memory!
The information confirmed that the hardware manufacturers started renewing their products for the next generation of CPUs and Intel.
The company is one of the first, introducing an updated version of its Z890 Aorus Elite motherboard during CES.
The launch takes place in a context in which the Intel yet has not publicly detailed all models in the Arrow Lake Refresh line.

The main difference from Z890 Aorus Elite WiFi 7 Plus motherboard is immediate compatibility with future Intel Core Ultra “Plus” series processors.
These chips, like the Core Ultra 9 290K Pluso Core Ultra 7 270K Plus and the Core Ultra 5 250K Plusmust offer higher operating frequencies or cores with better efficiency compared to current Arrow Lake models.
The board is a adaptation of the existing modelcom visual changessuch as removing the physical buttons for power on, restart and accessing the BIOS on the top.
In addition to the new motherboard, Gigabyte showed off the overclocking potential of the set with a system using the Z890 Aorus Tachyon ICE.
The configuration used a 256GB DDR5 CQDIMM memory kitdistributed in four 64GB modulesoperating a 6400 MT/s (It will be difficult to find this kit to buy). The test was carried out with a Intel Core Ultra 9 285K processor.
A CQDIMM technology contributes to stability at high speeds, as each module has its own clock controller, relieving the load on the memory controller integrated into the CPU.

Despite the movement of motherboard manufacturersa Intel maintained a low profile in relation to the official launch of Arrow Lake Refresh line.
