A recent report published by Gurufocus suggests that Nvidia may be close to signing an agreement to produce its future Game Gpus using Intel Foundry Services process 18a (1.8 nm).
If the partnership is completed, the semiconductor market could witness one the unpublished alliance, uniting two companies that have long been highlighted in different segments of the chip industry.
After all, rumors abound about both Nvidia and Broadcom would be testing with model 18a a few weeks ago.
The possible turn in the GPUS market
According to UBS analyst Timothy Arcuri, Nvidia would be “very close” to choose Intel as a state -of -the -art supplier for her upcoming graphic processing units.
Although TSMC still master the production of GeForce chips, the adoption of a new player could diversify the supply chain and increase competitiveness. At the same time, Broadcom and AMD also showed interest, but the partnership with Nvidia would be more advanced at this time.
Intel, in turn, has been accelerating efforts to dispute space with TSMC in advanced processes, as we recently reported. This scenario is strengthened with the constant milestones in the production of 1.8 nm wafers, signaling that the company is successful in the new technology.

Intel Foundry Services e o 18A-P
In addition to the “standard” version of the 18a process, Intel would be developing an enhanced performance variant, called 18-p. It is expected to offer greater energy efficiency and higher speeds, fundamental attributes for games and artificial intelligence applications.
Intel is on the right track to seal commitments to giants like Nvidia, marking a shift point for its casting division
Adoption of more modern nodes can also impact the company’s future CPUS launch agenda, such as Core Ultra 300 ‘Panther Lake’mentioned in recent presentations, but expected only to 2026.

Again CEO and renewed strategy
Another important variable is the view of the new CEO of Intel, Lip-This Tanwho took command on the 18th and will make his first conference on March 31.
Although Intel was already focused on expanding the performance of its Foundry division, Tan’s arrival can inject even more breath into the race to convert potential interested in confirmed customers.
With this possible migration from Nvidia to the 18th, Intel Foundry Services can gain strength as a supplier of lithography solutions for major semiconductor marks.
And if this partnership is realized, the GPUS segment for Games can see an “GeForce made by Intel” soon, something unthinkable a few years ago, but increasingly plausible in the current scenario.
New information on the advancement of the foundries Intel must be presented during the Direct Connect, scheduled for April 29.
