In this article we will show the best in the dispute between GeForce RTX 5060 and Radeon RX 9060 XT, in this very important segment for gamers: the video card input line. And now that we have Intel, let’s also include the Intel Arc.

Here we will talk about signs that are in the price range between R $ 2,500 and R $ 3,000 at the time of research of this article, made on 06/09/2025, and that in the long run must go down this value and potentially become the most relevant options for most of those with an eye on an upgrade.

The weapons of each brand are:

GeForce RTX 5060 vs Radeon RX 9060 XT

Nvidia has a front clear in the technology area, while AMD and, further away, Intel, make the running game behind.

The main differential of the GeForce RTX 50 line is the generator of multiple DLSS frames, which can create three pictures by AI natively rendered by the game engine. The result is an absurd frame rate, with a fluidity that cannot be achieved by AMD or Intel competitors.

It is worth noting that the technologies generating frames are not equivalent to achieving these FPS rates grossly, as they do not deliver as low latencies as actually playing at very high FPS, as well as presenting possible artifacts in the image.

But even in other technologies, AMD and Intel are still running after. Nvidia DLSS UpScaling finally has a strong competitor with AMD FSR 4, included in the RX 9060 XT, but is still well behind DLSS 4 in native adoption on games. For now, there is the optiscler, a mod that adds FSR 4 to games with DLSS support, but is not an official solution.

Intel Xess has UPSCaling by AI, but still has some imperfections that DLSS seems to have resolved. We will need to do a new round of testing in another article in the future to show more of this.

Testes de performance: GeForce RTX 5060 vs Radeon RX 9060 XT

Counter Strike 2

Call of Duty Black Ops 6

Baldur’s Gate 3

Black Myth: Wukong

Cyberpunk 2077

F1 24

Red Dead Redemption 2

Resident 4 Remake

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2

Let’s start with the performance. And in this battle, we have several moments when there is a clear advantage for AMD, such as Call of Duty Black Ops 6, Red Dead Redemption 2, Resident Evil 4 and Baldurs Gate 3, with a front in Radeon’s 20%.

Other games The thing is more discreet, but the RX 9060 XT still keeps about 15% ahead in F1 2024.

In others, we have basically the same result between the Radeon and GeForce, as is the case in Stalker 2 and also in Cyberpunk 2077, but here you can also tell as a victory for Radeon, as AMD was embarrassing in this test, as you can see where the RX 7600 is, and now it is no longer.

The RTX 5060 has a clear victory: in Counter Strike 2, it was almost 30% ahead.

And the Arc? It has a varied position. In CS herself, look her kind of tied with Radeon. She was also well in Red Dead, winning from RTX 5060 and being 13% behind the RX 9060 XT, and positioning themselves similar to Resident Evil, better than RTX 5060, a little worse than Radeon.

There are several moments of her positioning himself in the middle of Radeon and Geforce, or half tied with the slowest of the two.

But what takes the Intel sign is the games in which she is much worse. Stalker 2 She was 25% behind the competitors. Cyberpunk 2077, 20%. And in some it was much worse, like Black Myth Wukong, 30% behind, and Cod, 30%.

And when I say behind, it’s behind the second place in the dispute. Against the RX 9060 XT at Cod, it is 45% behind Radeon, which was first. Arc is basically delivering half the performance that Radeon.

So we stayed in a scenario where the RX 9060 XT is the most outstanding for the performance, with the RTX 5060 not getting much behind, and the ARC B580 becoming a level behind the two rivals. Apart from Cod, at least, now Intel Arc has no game in which they are critically bad, but the other two signs have an advantage.

Prices: GeForce RTX 5060 vs Radeon RX 9060 XT

Here we have the price fluctuation of the three competitors. The methodology of the capture of these prices is due to the hardware MVP, Edno Silva, and its always commendable work of PC Build Wizard. Follow it on social networks and help maintain this excellent price monitoring service he does there.

Made with Flourish

This next graph will show much better the relationship between prices and performances. Using the nine games tested, the 8GB RX 9060 XT delivers 127 frames per second on average, with RTX 5060 just behind 119 pictures per second. The B580 is behind the platoon, with 98 fps on average, drawing with the RTX 4060.

Made with Flourish

The RX 9060 XT has the lead for only 1 real, after all it costs the same as RTX 5060, but has delivered more performance. The RTX 5060 has a strong balance between cost and performance, drawing with the RTX 4060. Although it is about 300 to 400 reais cheaper, the RTX 4060 has a sensitive difference of performance versus a RTX 5060, enough to be proportional to cost reduction with performance loss.

To determine the price of each board, we use the average value of the last 30 days captured by the PC Build Wizard tool.

It is interesting to observe in this chart how the cheapest plates, such as the RX 7600, RTX 4060 and B570 do not do well, because as much as they are cheaper, proportionally the performance drop is even greater.

I would no longer recommend them for those who want to play in high quality in 1080p, as they are no longer reporting heavier releases, although the average performance indicates us that they still serve to play in Full HD if they are aiming at lighter games in general.

Veredito: GeForce RTX 5060 vs Radeon RX 9060 XT

If it is to nail a choice… I would not take any of the three. I would spend a little more, and go to the 16GB version of the RX 9060 XT. It does not increase the cost that cost, and although not the best in the cost versus performance in Full HD, in return has a more guaranteed longevity, merit of the most loose amount of Vram.

And it’s not that this extra memory doesn’t appear, but it stands out more on higher resolutions. She leaves the fourth model best placed in cost versus performance to be tied first in 4K resolution. And it clearly supports more performance, when we put in the medium FPS on the chart, opening well versus the other comparison signs.

I know, it is not to run at higher resolutions, but at the same time, it already samples the potential for you to preserve your investment for more years, spending a little more in it, and enables some games that it can even face in high resolution, but needs more vram for it.

Too bad that Nvidia will only make something more memory available there on RTX 5060 Ti, and then we are talking about over a thousand reais of additional investment. But what if the person does not have these 500 more reais for Gastara, or does not call Vram. It will play lighter games and never intend to take the foot of the Full HD. Then… kind of so much.

It has arguments for each of the plates. AMD has the advantage in performance. Nvidia has been more stable in this world of little Vram and also has a more mature additional technologies set.

If you will save money, I see these two very close plates. The performances are not so different, and in the factors where Nvidia is in the advantage, AMD generally is improving or already has some equivalent technology in action.

But if I need a tiebreaker, after the 16GB RX 9060, my choice would go to RTX 5060. Some more FPS are welcome, but the most robust ecosystem, additional such as multiple frames generator and more constant performance in high-use Vram scenarios, which both have a high risk of passing now and in the coming years, seem more relevant than a Radeon performance difference.

But it was a very tight victory, so keep an eye on prices, would not discard the RX 9060 XT as the best option depending on the prices you find when doing your search.
