Geekom prepares the world’s first mini-PC with Snapdragon X Elite

Geekom could end up being the first company in the world to make a mini PC with Snapdragon X Elite available on the market. The company has not yet officially spoken about the product, but a promotional image apparently made by it was leaked on the Chinese social network Weibo.

The image shows a very compact mini PC from two angles. Thus, we can only see the Geekom brand on the surface and two USB-A 3.x connections on one side, in addition to the headphone jack. The image accompanies the text “QS Series” and the quote: “the first mini PC powered by Qualcomm in the world”.

We know that the processor is the Snapdragon Geekom is well known in the mini PC market, working with Intel and AMD for years. This new QS Series even has a design that is very reminiscent of the GT1 Mega, but with far fewer connections.

As the ad appeared in a leak and not on the manufacturer’s official account, we still do not have any more information about the product. So, we don’t know any more details about the specs or a release window – at least for now.

Snapdragon X Elite debuts in a mini PC by Geekom because Qualcomm project failed

Geekom can boast of having the “first mini PC” with Snapdragon X Elite because a project from Qualcomm itself ended up not moving forward. Those who follow Adrenaline must remember that the owner of the SoC prepared a dev kit with the component to be available for US$899.

Some people even received the product, so technically it would be the first mini PC with Snapdragon X Elite. However, it was never finalized to actually be commercially available, so it makes sense that it wouldn’t keep the “title”.
