Taiwanese manufacturer GEEKOM announced that it will bring a new generation of mini PCs to CES 2025, an event that takes place from January 7th to 10th in Las Vegas with Snapdragon (X1E-80-100), Intel (Core Ultra 9 285H) and AMD processors (Ryzen AI 9 HX 735).
The company, already known for its compact solutions and focus on energy efficiency, will bring to the public products based on different hardware platforms, signaling the sector’s growing interest in smaller, more versatile equipment with lower energy consumption.
One of the main launches planned is the GEEKOM QS1, announced as the brand’s first mini PC equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon X1E-80-100 processor.
The initiative follows a trend that had already been highlighted in recent announcements, regarding the first mini PC with Snapdragon X Elite. The expectation is that the QS1 will be this product and, therefore, will have the capacity for everyday tasks, combining low energy consumption and good performance in a compact format.
Another product that draws attention is the GEEKOM A9 Max, powered by an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 375 processor. This model can respond to more complex demands, both in content creation and in applications that require artificial intelligence resources.
Interest in high-performance mini PCs has proven to be a solid trend, as seen in the company’s liquid-cooled, high-performance devices or models based on Intel and AMD chips, widely reported in recent months.
With solutions that integrate cutting-edge CPUs, AI and versatile storage options, CES 2025 is expected to enhance the maturity of the mini PC segment
Options for creators and enthusiasts
GEEKOM is also preparing the IT15, a mini PC equipped with the recently launched Intel Core Ultra (up to U9-285H) to deliver greater flexibility in the use of DDR5-5600MHz RAM memory, support for multiple SSDs and an SD card reader.
The profile of this product speaks to the public looking for compact equipment for content creation, a segment where new mini PCs with 14th generation Intel and other models that offer constant upgrades have already emerged, such as equipment that follows the evolution of processors such as the Intel N150 and AMD variants, such as the Ryzen 9 9950X in Minisforum mini PCs.
Finally, it is confirmed that the company will also present the GEEKOM A6, a mini PC positioned as a robust option for less than US$500. The model will come with an AMD Ryzen 7 6800H, up to 32GB of DDR5 RAM and 1TB of PCIe SSD storage Gen4, plus an integrated GPU capable of running AAA games at acceptable levels of performance.
The presence of this type of option also suggests that the mini PC market is diversifying, building from entry-level configurations to more sophisticated models.
Expectations for CES 2025
The new edition of CES in the first weeks of January 2025 should boost the presence of mini PCs as an alternative to conventional computers. With offers that vary in price, processor architecture and focus on artificial intelligence, manufacturers seem to point to a future where the compact format is, in addition to being synonymous with space savings, also with versatility and efficiency.
