Galax revealed in late May its new RTX 5080 and 5070 TI in the Hof Edition line, announcing not only its global availability, but also a new black color for the series. Now finally AIB’s global website has been updated with the new models, revealing an interesting security feature for the signs.
As shown in the image below, the new RTX 5080 and 5070 Ti Hof Edition include something Galax calls Hof Debug Safety Indicator. In practice, the feature uses the colorful LEDs that form a large crown in the middle of the video card to alert to possible energy problems.

Obviously, the most commented situation since the introduction of the 16 -pin connector is the possible incorrect fitting of the cable. In this case, the crown lights yellow to warn. If the connector is completely fitted, but the plate still connects problems in the power supply, the crown lights in red.
Galax should launch Hof Edition models outside China soon
Galax Hall of Fame plates are known for their high overclocking potential. Since the arrival of the RTX 50 series, however, the company has remained focused on the Chinese market for these models.
This is how RTX 5090D won several records of overclock, even before a really official announcement by the company. This is an exclusive model for China, so it should not have a launch in other countries.

For RTX 5080 and 5070 IT, however, global availability was expected. And it seems that this is finally close to happening. Before the plates appeared only on the Chinese website of Galax, but now appears on its international page as well.
Details of the new HOF cards
Since both RTX 5080 and RTX 5070 IT use the GPU GB203, Galax has chosen to make a basically identical design between the two models in its hof series. The two plates use a 3 slots housing, with three Fans – two of 102mm and one 92mm.

Obviously, the colorful LED crown appears in both options, and both in black and blank variants. Since this became a security feature either, it could not miss one of the SKUS. Unlike RTX 5090D, however, the lights are embedded in the body of the plate, and there is no removable accessory for ornament.
