Galax, known for its GPUs, SSDs and various peripherals is now producing sources under the “Omega” label – with five different SKUs ranging from 500W to 1,200W.
It is important to mention that all models are certified by Cybernetics, an organization that uses ETA standards to measure power supply efficiency and is known for having more demanding standards than the 80 PLUS rating – showing that they are serious about their new approach to the market with the “Omega” models when working with both.

As you can see below, Galax keeps the power of each one clear in its nomenclature – preventing users from getting confused with letters and numbers. Check out the five sources they will bring to the market:
Galax standards for your fonts
Among the entry options, we have the Galax Omega GL500S (500W) and the GL650S (650W). Both are non-modular and are Cybernetics Bronze and 80 PLUS Bronze certified.
The GLX850 (850W) falls into the “mid” category, being a completely modular model with PCIe 5.0 and ATX 3.0 connections. She is 80 PLUS Gold and Cybernetics Gold certified.
For the high-end environment, Galax brings the GLX1000 (1000W) and GLX1200 (1200W) models. In addition to being modular, both models also carry 80 PLUS Gold and Cybernetics Platinum certifications. Both are produced for high-consumption computers, being suitable for high-end hardware or for professional use.
The launch of the Omega line
Galax did not present the prices of its new sources, nor did it reveal whether they will have global availability – or whether they will be limited to the Chinese public, like some of its best-known hardware.
Considering the corporation is well-established in China, it is possible that they are seen as targeting audiences in the APAC (Asia-Pacific) region.
Alongside the Cybernetics certifications, at least Galax presents the sources with greater durability and efficiency found in the region. Now it’s a matter of revealing whether the cost will also be competitive, further elevating its arrival in this market.
