Galax presented the GeForce RTX 4080 Super 3X this week, bringing a robust design to one of the most powerful home video cards today. The GPU has three fans and a completely stylized housing, with almost no colored lights. The ARGB customization is only for the GeForce RTX logo that appears at the top.
Galax’s new RTX 4080 Super maintains NVIDIA’s reference specifications. In other words, we have an AD103-400 GPU, with 10,240 CUDA cores and 16GB of GDDR6X memory. The VRAM bandwidth is 736GB/s for this model. The clock is 2,295MHz.
Despite not offering factory overclocking, the Galax GeForce RTX 4080 Super 3X is compatible with 1-Click OC. This is the feature that allows the user to boost the GPU clock using the manufacturer’s software, Xtreme Tuner Plus.
In general terms, this is another RTX 4080 Super model without major differences compared to what is already available on the market. What really draws attention about the Galax launch is the moment in which it occurs. Will the introduction of a new model like this in the second week of December disprove the rumors that NVIDIA is already ending production of this line of GPUs?
