However, G.Skill’s new memories don’t just bring aesthetics. This is because the manufacturer promises that the Trident Z5 Royal can reach speeds of up to 8400 MT/s, presenting good performance for intense equipment use.
The Trident Z5 Royal series is an evolution of the popular Trident Z5 line, now in the DDR5 generation. The memories maintain the gold or silver mirror finish and the crystal clear light bar, providing an eye-catching display, combined with RGB lighting.
Hardware performance and availability
Designed for overclocking performance, the Trident Z5 Royal will be offered in versions up to DDR5-8400 CL40 with a capacity of 48GB (2x24GB), in addition to other specifications with capacities up to 96GB (2x48GB). This difference will certainly be applied to the final value of the models.
Customizable RGB lighting is supported by G.SKILL Trident Z Lighting Control software or third-party motherboard lighting software. This facilitates synchronization with other equipment installed on computers.
The new Trident Z5 Royal memories support the Intel XMP 3.0 overclocking profile, making overclocking via the motherboard BIOS easier. Global distribution of the new memories is scheduled for the end of May 2024.
G.Skill has not yet released the prices of DDR5 Trident Z5 Royal memories, but the modules are expected to be in the premium range, given their specification and advanced design.
