G.Skill has officially launched its new low latency DDR5-6000 memory kits. These are CL26 and CL28 options that can truly have their potential explored with the Ryzen 9000 series of processors, as they are only compatible with the AMD EXPO overclocking profile.
Users interested in low-latency kits will have options across different G.Skill series, including the Trident Z5 Royal Neo, Trident Z5 Neo RGB, and Ripjaws M5 RGB Neo Series.
For minimum latency, the manufacturer will offer 32GB and 64GB CL26 kits – that is, 2x16GB and 2x32GB, respectively. The new modules in this configuration achieve timings as low as CL26-36-36-96, as G.Skill shows in Memtest captures. The test was done with the 64GB kit, on an ASUS ROG Crosshair X870E Hero board, with a Ryzen 9 9900X processor.
Users looking for low latency, but not necessarily the minimum possible, will be able to have more capacity with the CL28 modules. In this case, G.Skill will offer 48GB (2x24GB) and 96GB (2x48GB) kits. Using the same specs as previous tests, the 96GB kit of these memories had timings of CL-28-36-36-96.
New memories from G.Skill arrive this month
G.Skill highlighted that its new DDR5-6000 modules for CL26 and CL28 memories will arrive in January 2025. However, the company did not want to inform the official prices of each kit, in its different product lines.
The folks at Tom’s Hardware warn that these will possibly be very expensive components. Low latency modules tend to have somewhat higher values ​​than kits with similar capabilities, but with higher timings.

It is worth remembering that Lexar launched memories with similar latencies last month, but in lower capacity kits. The 32GB set cost 899 yuan (R$746), so we can expect prices to rise for G.Skill components.
