Nvidia has not admitted that it will offer a RTX 5050 for notebooks, but there are not a few leaks of its partners mentioning the GPU. Now we have listings for two Lenovo models equipped with the dedicated video card, even revealing its possible prices.
The great attraction of RTX 5050 should be its price, as this will possibly be the most affordable video card in the entire Blackwell line. However, Lenovo’s first notebooks listed at Laptops Direct are not exactly what we could call “cockroach”.
Lenovo Loq 15irx10 comes with Intel Core i5 and has its initial value £ 1,150, equivalent to US $ 1,430, or $ 8,025. Legion 5 15irx10 brings a core i7 and increases the price to £ 1,350, which corresponds to $ 1,680, or $ 9,428.
Prices can be considered “salty”, especially considering that Nvidia stated that we would see notebooks with RTX 5060 starting at $ 1,100.
That way, either listing values are incorrect, or these notebooks are prices well off the curve for RTX 5050, or we won’t see notebooks with RTX 5060 by MSRP.
RTX 5050 for notebooks apparently uses 8GB of GDDR7 memory
Laptops Direct does not directly mention the description of notebooks the memory generation of their video cards. The RTX 5050 appears only as an 8GB plate. However, the well -known “leak” Momomo_US has managed to find a summary of the product that reveals GDDR7 technology to memory.
As always, rumors can bring mistaken information, so it’s good to keep a little skepticism. Apparently, the RTX 5050 for notebooks is close to its release, and it is very likely that Nvidia will make the plate available without much fuss – perhaps even in conjunction with the RTX 5060 on Computex 2025.
