Chinese manufacturer Dasung revealed the Paperlike 103a portable monitor with a screen E-Ink 10.3 inches and 60 Hz refresh rate. This advancement brings E-Ink technology closer to competing with traditional monitors in terms of visual fluidity, something that has historically been one of the main challenges in this category.
O Paperlike 103 offers a resolution of 1,874 x 1,404 pixels, with a 4:3 aspect ratio, ideal for activities such as reading and typing. Additionally, the monitor includes a front lighting system with brightness and color temperature adjustment, designed to reduce eye strain during prolonged use.
The impact of the 60 Hz refresh rate on the use of E-Ink screens
This innovation represents a milestone for Dasung, which has already developed other devices with High refresh rate e-inkas a 25.3-inch black and white curved monitor with a resolution of 3,200 x 1,800 pixels.
The company also pioneered the launch of the first color monitor with this technology in 2023, in addition to a portable 12-inch color screen presented in the United States last year.
