EVO-X2 pre-sale, Mini PC with Strix Halo, which costs more than $ 2,000

GMKTEC began pre-sale from EVO-X2, its new mini PC equipped with an Ai Max+ 395 Ryzen from the Strix Halo series. With expected distribution for the “next weeks”, this should be the first computer with AMD’s new line apu offering end -of -line integrated graphics.

Evo-X2 pre-sale is available in China for the price the manufacturer previously revealed: 14,999 yuans. It is the equivalent of US $ 2,052, or R $ 12,164 in the current price. And this is still a pre-sale discount price, because the tabulated value of the product would be 15,799 yuans, which is already going to $ 2,161, or $ 12,813.

The big attraction of the mini PC is Ryzen Ai Max+ 395. Based on Zen 5, the processor features 16 nuclei and 32 threads. Its great differential is the presence of a 8060s Radeon for integrated graphics, based on RDNA 3.5 with 40 Compute Units (Cu). It is on top of the IGPU that AMD promotes the Strix Halo line in relation to the previously released Strix Point.

GMKTEC EVO-X2 also features 2tb of storage and a total of 128GB of LPDDR5X memory in its most advanced settings. That’s because the manufacturer is betting a lot on IA to sell her new mini PC.

Those who follow the news from the Mini PCs market know that GMKTEC is promoting EVO-X2 as an AI machine. Right in the price revelation, the company stressed that its compact system offers total performance for inference better than a RTX 5090D.

Equipped with its CPU Strix Halo and a large amount of memory, the EVO-X2 should be able to computing 70b LLM, which means that it is able to process a large model of language (LLM) trained with 70 billion parameters.

GMKTEC will open orders from the new product to the United States and Europe from April 15.
