EVGA has announced the closure of its official forums this week. The company team will interact with their buyers and others interested in Reddit from now on, in a new subreddit called Teamevga.
“Responding to the feedback of our valuable customers and taking advantage of Reddit’s popularity, EVGA would like to encourage the community to move to Reddit,” says the company’s post announcing the forum’s closure. “From this ad, our forums will only be for reading and our team will actively engage with customers on Reddit’s threads from now on.”
As the text indicates, the forums can still be accessed for reading, but new posts can not be made.
The transition is not uncommon, and EVGA certainly makes it seem a simple decision. However, two years ago the company chose to leave the GPUS market just before the launch of RTX 40.
In addition, it is rumored that EVGA no longer intends to work with motherboards anymore. In this case the information is not yet official, but the absence of Z890 or AM5 models by the brand has corroborated the rumor.

In its welcome post on Reddit, EVGA points out that many PC companies have stopped using their own forums and moved to the site, or to Discord. Once again, the company seems interested in reassuring its customers that nothing will change.
Interactions with the post, in general, regret the closure of the official forum and ask EVGA to make video cards again.
