A Xiaomi Xiaomi has been attracting consumers for years with good value for money phones and interesting features. However, the ads in the user interface have been a negative point. Disabling these ads is possible, but the process is not so simple for the lay user and Xiaomi seems to have no interest in making it easier.

Recently, a rumor surfaced that Xiaomi may be planning to add an option to the menu to turn off all system ads. But users’ happiness was short-lived, as the company confirmed that this feature will not be coming to HyperOS in the very near future.
In a statement to Android Authority, Xiaomi spoke of plans to improve the user experience by reducing pre-installed apps and “content display landing pages,” which means fewer ads. However, the company made it clear that it has no plans to add an ad-disabling tool to the menu:
We are not currently planning to add a tool like this, only a small number of users would discover and use it.
This can be frustrating for many users, especially since the current method for removing ads is complicated. Currently, you have to locate the MSA app in the settings and adjust the settings for each app, such as File Manager, Music, and Downloads, to get rid of the unwanted ads.
Indeed, the justification given by Xiaomi for the decision not to incorporate the option to disable ads directly into the menu is something that can be considered questionable. After all, it is quite likely that a significant number of the brand’s users would really appreciate it and would undoubtedly be actively looking for a simplified and more accessible way to disable unwanted ads.
