Intel has not given up on the dedicated graphics card market and is expected to launch a new generation soon, based on Xe2 cores and currently known as Battlemage. One of these models has reportedly leaked on Geekbench, showing details of its specifications.
The card in question is known in rumors as G21, and appeared in the performance test with ID 8086:E20B. WCCFTech explains that this would be the Intel Battlemage G21 based on a previous Linux leak, assigning this ID to the card.
As the benchmark information shows, Intel’s supposed dedicated GPU features 20 Xe2 cores, with 160 Compute Units (CUs). The clock is 2850MHz, and we have 12GB of VRAM following the specs. At these settings, the card scores 97,943 in the test.
Taking advantage of the score, WCCFTech organized a graphic comparison with other GPU models with similar results, shown below. It is interesting to note that we do not know the conditions of the leak, nor the drivers used in the test. In other words, even though we are indeed seeing an Intel Battlemage G21, the performance shown here could change until its final release.
Xe2 architecture has already made its debut on Intel Lunar Lake
Rumors and speculation indicate that dedicated Intel Battlemage graphics cards will arrive later this year. The GPUs, however, do not mark the debut of the Xe2 architecture, which has already made its debut in the integrated graphics of Lunar Lake processors.
More about Battlemage:
Also known by its commercial name Intel Core Ultra 200V, this line of CPUs already shows some of the potential of the company’s new graphics architecture. The manufacturer has even shown its GPU integrated into a Core Ultra 9 288V, surpassing the Radeon 890M graphics from its rival AMD.
The Battlemage model mentioned in this leak appears to be one of the most affordable in the upcoming Intel GPU lineup. Previous rumors already speak of options with 24 Xe2 cores among the intermediaries and up to 32 cores in the more advanced options.
