Dell will revive the XPS line of notebooks with new models at CES 2026 [RUMOR]

Videocardz sources confirm that Dell presented the updated XPS line during the CES 2026 pre-presentation. However, it is worth noting that the company has not officially confirmed the return of the XPS brand, but it is known that the idea has been considered again.

Dell publicly ended the XPS brand at CES 2025, when it adopted a simpler naming scheme based on the Dell, Dell Pro, and Dell Pro Max categories. At the time, the company positioned the “Premium” category as the successor, which would continue the XPS legacy.

This transition became clearer in 2025, when Dell launched the Dell 14 Premium and Dell 16 Premium as the new high-end consumer models, which effectively replaced the XPS 14 and XPS 16.

These two models also match what people now expect from the top of Dell’s consumer product line.

Videocardz’s sources don’t talk about specifications, but speculation is that Core Ultra 300 “Panther Lake”, which will be announced on January 5th. However, the site also recalls that, according to a leaked 2024 roadmap, Dell planned to use chips from AMD and Qualcomm in its XPS line as well.

At the time, the website reinforced that, although Dell has updated its XPS 16 line with Meteor Lake, Arrow Lake, Panther Lake and, later, Nova Lake processors, There were no XPS notebooks listed with an AMD chip.
