In an event held this Tuesday (18), the Dell launched new products in Brazil, highlighting notebooks XPS 13 9340 e Alienware M16 R2. Both notebooks feature improvements in construction and design, with emphasis on the performance provided by the processors Intel Core Ultra. In the next paragraphs I bring more details about the two releases.

Dell XPS 13 9340

The Dell XPS 13, aimed at daily and corporate use, maintains the premium design of the previous generation, but brings some improvements, such as sensors that deactivate the keyboard backlight in bright locations and an “invisible” trackpad covered in Gorilla Glass 3.

Equipped with the chip Intel Core Ultra 7 155H, up to 32 GB RAM e 1 TB the SSDthe new XPS 13 promises high performance and even 18 hours of battery life with a capacity of 55 Wh.

The 13-inch screen of the Brazilian XPS 13 has received improvements, including an IPS LCD Full HD+ version with refresh rate variable and other Tandem OLED with 3K resolution, HDR with Dolby Vision and full DCI-P3 color gamut coverage. The model also received a Full HD webcam with facial biometrics via Windows Hello and the latest Intel Evo certification.

Connections include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth and two Thunderbolt 4 ports. In addition, the four-speaker sound system, 60 W portable power supply and Windows 11 or Ubuntu Linux operating systems complete its specifications.

Alienware M16 R2

O Alienware M16 R2already on sale since Thursday (13), had its design redesigned and size reduced by 15%.

Dell has optimized the internal construction, maintaining thermal performance even with fewer heat pipes and fans. The settings are impressive, with processors until the Intel Core Ultra 9 185Hup to 32 GB RAM expandable to 64 GB, GPUs Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 and RTX 4070, and 16-inch IPS LCD screen with Quad HD+ resolution and 240 Hz rate.

Interestingly, the battery has been increased to 90 Wh and the power supply is now lighter and more compact, with 240 W. The notebook also offers several connections, including Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth, USB-A, Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1, and MicroSD card reader, running Windows 11 Home or Pro.

Price and availability

The Dell XPS 13 9340 and Alienware M16 R2 models can now be purchased at the brand’s official store, with prices starting at R$9,999 for the XPS and R$12,699 for the Alienware.
