Deadpool’s new butt controller will be raffled off

The team at Xbox is known for its unusual and creative collaborations, and the latest addition to its line of limited-edition wireless controllers certainly doesn’t disappoint: Deadpool’s butt.

Inspired by the irreverent character, the new controller has a somewhat unusual shape, reminiscent of “Deadpool’s much talked about perfectly rounded butt,” according to them. And we only have the new Deadpool and Wolverine movie to thank for that.

Playing with Deadpool’s butt

The new controller was announced on Xbox Wire and its name translates as “Cheeky Controller,” which is very much in keeping with the loudmouth mercenary character. The design clearly suggests it’s inspired by Deadpool’s costume, and the shape doesn’t lie about its purpose either.

“The aptly named “Cheeky Controller” channels Deadpool’s steely buttocks in its firm (yet surprisingly comfortable) grip. Designed by the Merc with a Mouth himself, it also comes dressed in the anti-hero’s instantly recognizable—and might we add, incredibly flattering—red and black tactical gear.”

But just like the furry Sonic the Hedgehog and Knuckles controllers, the pizza-scented Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles controllers, and the adorable Grogu controller in a sheepskin jacket, the Deadpool controller won’t be sold in stores. In fact, there’s only one of these controllers in existence, and it’s only available through a raffle.

More than a control

But while the Deadpool controller is by far the most inspiring item in the prize draw, there’s actually more to it than that. The grand prize winner will actually walk away with a set of custom hardware: a Deadpool-themed Xbox Series X. This special console comes with a stand featuring foam versions of the character’s iconic katanas, as well as two wireless controllers.

Additionally, starting July 22, the first 1,000 people in North America and Canada to purchase the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 – Core from official Microsoft stores will receive an exclusive Cable Guys Deadpool controller stand by EXG Pro.

How to participate

To enter the giveaway, fans must follow Xbox on X (formerly known as Twitter) and repost the official Xbox giveaway post. It’s important to note that only those over the age of 18, the target age range for the Deadpool films, are eligible to enter.

For those interested in a chance to win and try out the exclusive Deadpool controller, the process is simple, but the competition is fierce. Entrants have until August 11 to repost the official giveaway post on X. This deadline is a few weeks after the release of the film “Deadpool & Wolverine,” which hits theaters on July 25.
