Kingston is the latest manufacturer to have its CUDIMM DDR5 memory modules revealed. And, once again, we have images appearing through a media kit, before the company’s official announcement. In other words, check out the look of the Fury Renegade below, in a kit of two modules of 24GB each, for a total of 48GB running at 8200MT/s.
The situation is similar to what happened with G.Skill, in which ASUS sent Trident Z5 CK CUDIMM DDR5 memories along with its new motherboard for Intel Core Ultra 200. This time it was MSI, which sent its board to the Overclocking website including Kingston’s new memoir.
This way we can consider the new CUDIMM DDR5 Fury Renegade memories basically official, although the manufacturer has not made its announcement yet. As mentioned previously, the kit features 24GB modules, which has become a standard capacity among memories aimed at gamers. Whether in official announcements or leaks, this is the configuration that appears most often, which makes Crucial an interesting exception.
The performance also draws attention. While manufacturers are promising speeds above 9000MT/s for CUDIMM DDR5, it appears that the first available models will stay at 8200MT/s. This is the same performance that appeared in G.Skill’s Trident Z5 CK kit.

First CUDIMM DDR5 modules in stores are from Micron
Although the first memory kits aimed at gamers to reach the hands of specialized media offer “only” 8200MT/s, for the common user the first modules have even less performance. This is because Micron claims to be the first to offer truly commercially available CUDIMM DDR5, with modules from its Crucial brand.
Micron components offer 16GB of capacity, down from the 24GB that has been a standard in “gamer” options. And the performance of the products, according to the manufacturer, is 6400MT/s.
More memories:
In other words, it is most likely that there will still be some time before modules exceeding 9000MT/s reach the shelves. The promise of 10,000MT/s, then, seems increasingly distant.
