Crucial launched Pro OC DDR5 memory, which provides up to 15% greater performance than the JEDEC standard. The company announced the DDR5 Pro OC can run at a speed of 6400 MT/s with an ultra-low latency of CL32providing true latency of 10 nanoseconds.
Pro OC DDR5 memory ships in a 32GB kit (2x 16GB DDR5), but users can also purchase a single 16GB DDR5 memory module. Crucial claims the new memory can deliver up to 25% better frame rates. However, several factors must be considered before believing these claims.
According to the company, the test was performed using a Ryzen 7 9800X3D on a motherboard with AMD X870 chipsetand the Pro OC DDR5-6400 kit was compared to a Crucial DDR5-5600 kit with EXPO enabled.

Crucial Pro OC DDR5 offers up to 37.5% lower latency than JEDEC standard DDR5. In this case, the reference is the memory speed of 6000 MT/s in CL48.
The company also shared a slide showing that Pro OC DDR5 at 6400 MT/s @ CL32 was able to deliver up to 125% more minimum FPSallowing for smoother gaming performance in titles like Watch Dogs: Legion. Compared to memory with a similar clock speed, but at CL38, the minimum FPS was 38% higher.
The average FPS, minimum FPS, and maximum FPS in Watch Dogs, as well as Red Dead Redemption II, were in double digits.
Crucial also claims that games like Assassin’s Creed (not to mention which one), Cyberpunk 2077, Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Dirt 5 also showed some performance improvement, but Crucial did not reveal the numbers. And, out of caution, it’s better to wait for independent benchmark numbers.
The Crucial Pro OC DDR5 uses a branded block with CNC diamond cutting on the aluminum alloy heatsink and is available in black and white. Elfeatures compatibility with AMD and Intel systems, supporting AMD EXPO and Intel XMP 3.0.

The kits are now available on Amazon, but without the option to sell directly to Brazil.
