CPUS AMD increase its popularity by 16.6% in CPU-Z, but Intel remains in front

The CPU-Z diagnostic tool offers data from its validations that are interesting to keep up with the popularity of Intel and AMD processors in people builds. From the last year here, the app shows considerable growth in CPUs on the red side, while the famous core fell.

It is important to note that the numbers only count the validation of the systems, not each time a test with CPU-Z is done. Platform data show that in the last period of a year, software users with AMD increased by 16.6%, while Intel fell by 10%.

In any case, Intel’s dominance is so considerable that the company remains ahead, even with the considerable growth of its rival. Core users still total 56.3% of CPU-Z validations, while AMD got 43.7%. It is a much closer proportion than it was in the past.

Another curious fact of the last period is that eight-nucleus processors had a surprising growth in CPU-Z. It was a 32.6% increase, making the most popular format today, with 24.7% of validated systems.

Nvidia follows leader at CPU-Z, but had a drop

Going to GPUS information, Nvidia, without surprises, remains in front. But it had a slight drop in the last year, 6.4%. Anyway, it maintains 67.9% of presence on the PCs of users of diagnostic software.

Meanwhile, Intel and AMD grew up. Intel had a very significant growth of 27.1%, but it was not enough to reach 1% of validated systems. AMD also increased 16.6% in its GPUS, reaching 31.5%.

Data represent a niche

Of course, we cannot draw a direct parallel between validated PC numbers in CPU-Z with the PC market as a whole. Only a fraction of users uses the software.
