A new leak suggests that the Intel Core Ultra 9 285K CPU, the top-of-the-line processor of the “Arrow Lake” generation, could hit stores with a boost clock of 5.7 GHz.

The information was released by leaker “OneRaichu“, one of the most reliable in the industry, who posted an enigmatic message that may indicate that the frequency of the new SKUs will be lower than what is seen in recent hardware.

It’s important to note that it’s unclear what the “57/4-47/6” term the leaker used. Some believe this means the Intel Core Ultra 9 285K CPU could arrive with 5.4GHz all-core boost and similarly have 4.7GHz max boost and 4.6GHz all-core efficiency boost.

If the performance cores reach 5.7 GHz and the efficiency cores reach 4.7 GHz, this indicates that the new processor will have 300 MHz less performance and 300 MHz more efficiency compared to the Core i9-14900K.

One detail worth noting is that the Intel Core Ultra 9 285K CPU will be the manufacturer’s highest-performance product in this new line. There is a possibility that a “KS” version with higher clocks will be revealed, but there is no indication that such hardware is in production – not even in the rumor field.

The arrival of the Intel Core Ultra 200

Rumors suggest that the launch of Intel Core Ultra 200 CPUs, which the 285K variant is part of, will have a total of 19 products. However, the manufacturer has not commented on any of the information released and it is best to treat it as a “rumor” until it is confirmed.

Everything indicates that they will use the Innovaton event, which will take place over two days in September, to reveal the details of their new processors and also set a launch date. They will probably hit the market between October and November, but as we said above, an official announcement is yet to be made.
