Corsair revealed its new Vengeance memories with CUDIMM DDR5 technology. Through a teaser on Twitter, the manufacturer promised the modules for the beginning of November, stating that their speeds reach up to 10,000MT/s when overclocked. Furthermore, the post also reveals a new look for the product.
Many of the new generation CUDIMM DDR5 modules have abandoned RGB lights in their design, and Corsair has followed this trend. However, you can’t call your next Vengeance modules “discreet”, since they will use a mirrored metal for their heatsink.
Moving on to the most important part, performance, Corsair showed results of its memories in CPU-Z. In a video and screenshots, we can see that the manufacturer’s CUDIMM DDR5 modules reached 10,000MT/s, with timings of 48-60-60-157-217. The feat was achieved using Intel’s XMP profile, on an ASRock Z890 Taichi OCF board and with a Core Ultra 7 265K processor.
Two Vengeance modules were used in the test, each with 24GB. This configuration is common for CUDIMM DDR5 kits, so one can imagine that Corsair will follow this trend as well. The company does not reveal details in its post about how it intends to sell the products, but states that they will arrive in early November.

CUDIMM modules greatly surpass the JEDEC standard
The official JEDEC standard for CUDIMM modules starts at speeds of 6,400MT/s, but modules from several manufacturers have surpassed this number with great ease.
While reaching 10,000MT/s should probably only happen in specific overclocking situations – at least at the beginning of the generation – going above 8,000MT/s is common for the technology. Corsair hasn’t revealed the default clock speed of its upcoming Vengeance CUDIMM DDR5 memories, but something around that speed is expected as well.

Now we have to wait and see how applications and games will be able to make the most of this considerable increase in speeds offered by memories with overclocked controllers.
